Humans need a lot of food

Our big giant brains require a lot of fuel. It’s no wonder that we naturally love food traditions and rituals. We instinctively know that when we feed our bodies, we are also feeding our souls. When we feed ourselves too much empty calorie, factory foods, we can eat and eat and not feel well or satisfied. Overeating prepackaged food doesn’t nourish the digestive system or the spirit. In contrast, eating in a way that truly matters to you will boost your emotional resilience. What foods truly feed your spirit?  It could be a stew made with vegetables from your garden. Or a traditional bread made with ancestral ingredients around the family table. Some foods count more than others. Invest time and energy into making at least one meal that really counts this week.
